History & Mission
The International Link (IL) is a nonprofit Christian organization that seeks to serve international guests in the Augusta, Ga. area through various outreach, education and service programs.
IL had its beginnings in the 1990s through the efforts of Jim and Carol Scogin, who had a desire to serve the many internationals in the Augusta, GA area. Out of their work The International Link was born in 2002, as a nonprofit organization serving international visitors who come to our campuses for study, research and military training. Today IL exists as an interdenominational Christian organization that works in cooperation with many local churches to serve international guests in the Augusta area. We currently serve internationals who attend the following campuses:
- Augusta University
- Georgia Military College
- Fort Gordon
- Paine College
- Aiken Technical College
